Lorraine Lewis

Executive Director, UMWA Health and Retirement Funds

Lorraine Lewis has been employed by the UMWA Health & Retirement Funds as Executive Director since 2003. Prior to working at the Funds, Ms. Lewis served as the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Education, the General Counsel of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and the General Counsel of the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs for Chairman John Glenn. She also worked as an associate at an ERISA law firm in Washington, D.C. and as a field attorney for the National Labor Relations Board in Chicago. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from Yale University. She resides in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband.
