Sondra Albert

Chief Economist, AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust

Sondra Albert is the Chief Economist for the AFL-CIO  Housing Investment Trust.  Her responsibilities include analysis of current economic trends and forecasting in the US economy and housing market. She calculates all of the economic impacts of the investments by the HIT in housing and other structures. Ms. Albert is a member of the HIT’s Portfolio Management Committee and has been at the Trust for 17 years.

Ms. Albert holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and Masters’ degrees in Economics from New York University and The George Washington University.  She also has a Master’s of Philosophy in Economics from The George Washington University.
