Chief Operating Officer, MCAA
Timothy (Tim) J. Brink is Chief Operating Officer at the Mechanical Contractors Association of America. He is also Executive Director of the association’s foundation, the Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation (MCERF).
Tim brings a unique perspective to his work at MCAA and MCERF. He has served in virtually every role in our industry, including as a contractor, local association executive, and on many MCAA committees.
He was president of CPMCA, of which he was a founding member, and a member of both the MCAA and PCA boards of directors. As a longtime member of the MCERF Board of Trustees, including time spent as the foundation’s treasurer, he is intimately familiar with the organization’s mission and finances.
He works on national joint labor/management relations issues and education with his counterparts at the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, the national labor organization representing over 350,000 skilled pipe trades workers employed by MCAA members in the U.S. and Canada.
Before coming to MCAA in 2018, Tim was the Executive Director/ Executive Vice President at the Mechanical Contractors Association of Eastern PA. During this time, he was Co-Chairman of the Steamfitters Local Union 420 Trust Funds and the Plumbers Local Union 690 Trust Funds.
Earlier employment included time with Westmark Enterprises, a manufacturer’s representative in Southern California and Arizona, where he was responsible for relationships with all signatory plumbing and mechanical contractors.
He also spent many years with C. H. Stone Plumbing Co., Inc. in a variety of roles from apprentice, estimator, and project manager to Chief Executive Officer.
Tim is also a graduate of the first class of MCAA’s Advanced Leadership Institute.
On a personal note, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, their three sons, Taylor, Jonathan, and Riley and their three grandchildren Lucas, Sophia and Savanna.
